‘Give him a pardon. Come on.’
President Donald Trump went to Israel on Monday to celebrate the release of the Oct. 7 hostages as part of the peace deal he negotiated. He also stood up for his ally and war buddy, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, by requesting he be pardoned of the politically-motivated fraud and bribery charges he’s facing.
“Why don’t you give him a pardon?” Trump said to Israeli president Isaac Herzog while addressing the Knesset. “Give him a pardon. Come on.” Many attendees stood and applauded to signal their agreement with Trump, whom Netanyahu praised as the “greatest friend” of the Jewish state.
“I happen to like this gentleman right over here, and it just seems to make so much sense,” Trump continued while pointing out Netanyahu in the audience. “You know, whether we like it or not, this has been one of the greatest wartime presidents, and cigars and champagne—who the hell cares about that?”
A Washington Free Beacon analysis determined that Trump and Netanyahu comprise one of the greatest male duos in history. We are arguably witnessing the most significant bromance the world has ever known.
