The Jewish state has also targeted the Islamic Republic’s energy industry with attacks on the South Pars gas field

Israeli forces killed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ head of intelligence, Maj. Gen. Majid Khademi, early Monday as the Jewish state steps up its attacks on key Iranian military leaders.

The Israel Defense Forces killed Khademi “in the heart of Tehran” in what the IDF described as “another significant blow to the IRGC’s command-and-control systems and its ability to conduct terrorist operations against the State of Israel and countries worldwide.” As the IRGC’s second most powerful official, Khademi “took part in attempts to target American individuals and was responsible for monitoring Iranian civilians as part of the regime’s suppression of internal protests.”

A different Israeli operation on Sunday killed the commander of the IRGC Quds Force’s special operations unit, Asghar Bagheri, the IDF announced. Bagheri “planned and advanced terror attacks against the State of Israel, including operations carried out within Israel, as well as in Syria and Lebanon.”

Israel has not only targeted the regime’s military leaders but its energy industry as well. Defense Minister Israel Katz announced early Monday that airstrikes hit the South Pars gas field, the central processing hub for Tehran’s lucrative energy exports. At least two facilities “responsible for about 85 percent of Iran’s petrochemical exports … have been taken out of use and are not functioning,” Katz said.

The latest strike targeted “the largest petrochemical facility in Iran, located in Asaluyeh, a central target responsible for about 50 percent of the country’s petrochemical production,” Katz continued. That operation followed a separate strike last week on “the second main facility” at South Pars. Katz said the IDF  will “continue striking with full force the national infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime.”

The strikes are meant to increase pressure on the Islamic Republic’s leadership as President Donald Trump works to secure a ceasefire deal that could end war operations by Tuesday evening. The president said on Sunday that if Tehran continues to balk at the U.S. offer, he will completely eradicate the country’s oil, gas, and energy infrastructure.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”

The Strait of Hormuz shipping corridor remains largely inactive as the Islamic Republic threatens vessels, and opening the strait is a key component of Trump’s 15-point peace plan. Trump said on Sunday that Iran has 48 hours to accept the deal before “all Hell will reign down on them.”

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” Trump wrote. “Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them. Glory be to GOD!” On Sunday afternoon, Trump published a date and time, presumably by which Iran must accept a deal: “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!”
