Alright guys, the sun is trying to come out, the disgusting humidity is gone and now it’s time to get another week of life and Monday Screencaps rolling.
I’m on my eighth straight day of writing Screencaps, so if I don’t use proper grammar, or I use the wrong pronoun, or you have something to complain about with sentence structure, I don’t care. Save the email. You guys get what you get at this point of summer.
Now that I have the disclaimer out of the way, I want to start with the NFL quarterback girlfriend theme that’s going to dominate the 2026 season. Remember this name: Marissa Ayers. She’s the former University of Alabama sorority girl who is now dating Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“Trust me, they’re locked in,” Ayers said of the quarterbacks who’ve been drawn into this NFL content strategy where they help promote current girlfriends to see if they can recreate the Taylor Swift effect across the league.
I’m telling you guys right now that Ayers is going to be a content machine this year. She’s going to be a throwback to the early days of the Internet when girlfriends (now wives) like Kelly Stafford would do beer bongs on camera without a care in the world.
Ayers is a throwback. Don’t get mad if we feature her 3-4 times a week. She’s a content machine and in this business, you don’t get many pageview generators like Marissa. You’re damn right SeanJo and I are pumped.

Here we go again with the woke NFL and that’s a Nike logo on the shirt
Speaking of the NFL, it wouldn’t be a new NFL season if its woke department didn’t come up with something that just makes no sense like the “end racism” or “stop hate” end zone messages that…wait for it….didn’t end racism or stop hate.
Now they’re taking aim at women’s sports. Remember, the NFL is about to push HARD to make you care about women’s flag football. They’ve been hinting at the flag football thing for the last 18 months or so. I assume this is the beginning of that push.
I’m feeling it today…the travel ball moms have my blood pumping
Don’t forget that the Little League teams you see on TV this week are travel ball teams cosplaying as humble small-town rec ball players brought together to play a wholesome Little League World Series.
I had to have a conversation with my father this weekend to make sure he understood the cosplay and what ESPN is up to.

OK, so you pick your battles. Mama bear doesn’t get to turn 7 year old Axe’s baseball career into a series of UNC signing day events. And people wonder why their kids grow up to feel entitled and complainers when they can’t move into a 2900 sq. ft. house upon graduating college.

A cross country dad brings my blood pressure down a notch
– Brandon in NW Houston says on Instagram DMs: Thought you might appreciate this as a XC dad. I think the 7th and 8th slide were especially poignant. The 8th one talks about the teamwork and it reminded me of one of the races during my sons senior season last year. It was a somewhat meaningless early race but the seniors and the fastest underclassmen sacrificed their times to pace one of the slower runners to a PR. It was pretty amazing and still chokes me up a little to think about.
Kinsey: Just had the conversation this weekend that it’s so refreshing to not hear parents bitching about their kids not getting the ball enough, or how some family pays more money to the athletic budget so they get more playing time. In two weeks, we’ll be driving 2 hours to watch Screencaps Jr. run for 12 minutes and it will be a refreshing day.
