Ryan Clark, less than a month removed from being able to spout off nonsense on ESPN, is back to gaslighting on his podcast.

There’s always an outlet for woke drivel, folks. It’s 2026, after all.

Clark was laid off from ESPN last month, along with dozens of others, including Cam Newton and Karl Ravech. Clark’s removal was the most high-profile given it happened during a live taping of NFL Live, and also suspiciously came after OutKick told the network we knew Clark was amongst the oncoming layoffs.

That’s neither here nor there, though. Semantics!

Clark was then fired — in his words — and then immediately jumped on his “Pivot” podcast and literally cried racism, as one does in these circumstances. He said he wasn’t allowed to be “too black” at ESPN.

Seriously.

Anyway, Clark’s most recent target? Sophie Cunningham, of course! Duh. Clark hopped back on his podcast this week and decided to drag Sophie through the mud because she said little girls in locker rooms deserve to be protected.

“Divisive gossip from a 9-point scorer gets more attention than the league’s best teams and players,” Clark tweeted Tuesday while also pushing a clip of his podcast further calling out Cunningham.

Without ever mentioning her name, of course.

“We’re seeing players who don’t even average 10 points a game, and that’s who’s on your networks and TVs, answering questions and starting back and forths about things that aren’t basketball,” he continued.

“To me, it’s about pushing the right things. Talking about the right things. Making sure the right things are at the forefront of people’s mind.”

Sophie Cunningham was the best player on the court last night

Amazing. The ‘ol, “FOCUS ON THE BASKETBALL!” argument from Ryan Clark. This one is about as bad as the “trans in women’s sports isn’t a real issue!” comment you see all the time from the left.

When someone says that, you know they’re fraudulent. Same goes for when someone begs us to “focus on the basketball!”

Guys. They’ve been playing basketball in the WNBA for decades. Nobody has ever cared. Not once. We tried to care when Caitlin Clark got into the league, and all the players and media have done since then is trash her — both on and off the court.

And then Sophie Cunningham came along, and was the first interesting player this league has ever seen. She went viral last summer when she stepped up and protected Clark during one of her weekly beatings on the floor.

She went viral again last month when ESPN — Clark’s former employer! — tried to play politics with her for a story, and Cunningham instead responded with an ounce of sanity.

Naturally, Ryan Clark is now ready to just get back to basketball, and insists on taking a shot at Cunningham without ever saying her name. Courageous!

Cunningham, by the way, had one of her best games of the season last night in another Indiana win. She finished with 12 points on 4 of 5 shooting (all three-pointers) in 22 minutes, and had a +/- of +17.

That was the highest of any player on the court, including Clark, who finished with 22 points, and Kelsey Mitchell, who led all scorers with 28.

Cunningham is second in the entire WNBA in three-pointer percentage (45.5%), in case Clark wants to sob through an apology on the next episode.

I’m sure he’s already in the lab workshopping what he’s gonna say!
