The United States has initiated large-scale, multi-day military drills in the Middle East, as a massive “armada” of ships makes its way to Iran. U.S. ruler Donald Trump has warned that “there is another beautiful armada floating beautifully towards Iran right now.”

Fortunately, Trump has laid off the rhetoric of taking over Greenland for now. However, in exchange, he’s increasing military actions in the Middle East, likely gearing up for a war there.

WAR ALERT: Trump Threatens Iran

US Air Forces Central (AFCENT) stated on Tuesday that the “readiness exercise” is designed to demonstrate the rapid deployment and sustainment of combat aircraft. The operation reportedly aims to validate procedures for dispersing personnel and jets to various “contingency locations” and integrating command with unnamed “partner nations.” –RT

“This is about upholding our commitment to maintaining combat-ready Airmen and the disciplined execution required to keep airpower available when and where it’s needed,” AFCENT commander Lieutenant General Derek France said.

“There’s another beautiful armada floating beautifully towards Iran right now,” Trump said on Tuesday, adding that he hopes Tehran will “make a deal.” He previously stated that the naval force near Iran is larger than the one used in the Venezuelan operation.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was sent toward the Middle East earlier this week, accompanied by guided-missile destroyers. The U.S. military has also moved additional F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets, Patriot missile batteries, and THAAD air defense systems to the Middle East.

While the U.S. has not yet “punished” Iran for its crackdown on anti-government protests, the attack could still come.  Some sources have said the U.S. is planning an imminent attack on Iran. Additionally, an unnamed Gulf official told Middle East Eye, according to reporting by RT, that Washington is weighing precision strikes against Iranian officials and military commanders.
